Does it make sense to have a new charge on my credit card from a vacation in December?

We went on vacation for 2 weeks in December. Today I checked my credit card statement online and the most recent charge on it is $12 from a hardware store in the town we were visiting. The transaction date says April 17th. I can't remember if we bought anything at that store while we were there, we easily could have... but would it make any sense for it to not show up on our card until 4 months later?|||Yes this could happen. When ACH processing is used some cities or countries have no time limit on when the purchase can be "completed". When they swipe the card they just "ask" the bank for permission to charge. Then you sign the slip and go on your merry way. The merchant has to then re enter the information at the end of the day asking the bank for the exact amount. Then usually it takes 2-5 business days for it to be completed. However, if the merchant looses the slip they have to ask the cc company for the original info in order to charget the account. Also, most business need to make deposits weekley so they charge the card right away. Things happen I would call the CC and ask for a verifiction. They will look at the records and should have something signed by you. Good luck.|||no... call your credit card company asap!!|||Not at all. Call the company immediately.
